A Week of Art, Craft, and Connection
Exhibiting at Dutch Design Week and Exploring the World of Handmade
Dear friends,
I spent the last days in Eindhoven at the Dutch Design Week.
There I was exhibiting my work together with the visual artist Diego Grandry. Diego is a French multidisciplinary artist based in The Hague, Netherlands.
Like an archeologist he explores the oddities and twisted sides of the digital abyss. The two images you see here below were displayed in self-built light-boxes. I also want to present my work in light-boxes now.
I'm currently visiting a friend in Beek, Netherlands, who, along with his girlfriend, has created a space called The Moraine. It's a haven for art, culture, and nature, offering unique workshops and experiences.
Yaniv has been learning traditional Japanese woodworking, which emphasizes joining wood naturally—without screws or nails. Recently, he helped build a traditional Japanese tea house. Although it was a small 4x4m structure, the project took over 100 days to complete.
Eva works with glass, exploring the connection between glass and sound. She creates instruments from glass and has a sweet little greenhouse in her garden where she does her work. She also offers workshops to teach others creative techniques for working with glass and sound.
So all in all the trip to the Netherlands was a success. I remember that I was very hesitant to leave Berlin – because I was in such a good daily-routine-flow.
Much love,
Marius
