From AI Chat to Private Notes: My Favorite Finds This Week
Good tools for voice dictation, video editing, and secure communication.

Dear friends,
I took a week off from computers, AI and all that. So no big news from my side.
Still I want to present you some things which I found useful or exciting.
Whispr Flow

Just press one key to dictate text directly to your computer. Your words will be automatically polished and appear wherever your cursor is—whether in an email, document, or chat.

Poe

With Poe, you can access ChatGPT, Claude, Deepseek and all the other AI models through a single €20 monthly subscription—eliminating the need for multiple separate subscriptions to each AI service.
However, I've found Poe can be a bit buggy. Are there other services that offer access to multiple AI models? I'd appreciate your recommendations for alternatives.

VEED

VEED streamlines my video creation process—replacing After Effects with an all-in-one solution that offers screen recording, automatic subtitles, and one-click format changes between landscape and portrait.
After discovering this platform for tutorials and social media content, returning to the complexity of After Effects feels like stepping back into the stone age.

Obsidian

As I wrote about in a previous article, I think it is time to take privacy more and more important. Companies increasingly access your emails, chats and online journals—something you probably want to prevent.
Obsidian offers a secure alternative to Notion, keeping your notes, research, and diary private by storing everything locally rather than in the cloud. You still maintain the convenience of syncing data between your devices without compromising privacy.

Protonmail

Protonmail offers secure, encrypted email from Switzerland with a good UI that includes many cool features, plus a calendar and encrypted storage.
While Gmail and add-ons like Superhuman provide excellent user experience, there are privacy concerns about Google potentially sharing access to your emails.
Protonmail demonstrates that secure tools can now be well-designed, fun, and easy to use rather than clunky.

Suddenly this article grew bigger and bigger. I thought that I have nothing to write about today…
Have all a great day!
Much love,
Marius
