How AI is fueling fresh ideas in traditional art forms

From Pixels to Paint

Dear friends,

For the past week, I’ve been feeling really excited. Once again, I’ve realized that a big part of my happiness is directly connected to my creative output.

When my days are filled with just building websites and answering endless emails, I’m not happy. But when I’m painting, drawing, or creating videos and images, I am.

AI has made it easier to dive straight into this world of creativity. Blending images in Midjourney leads me to things that didn’t exist before, and combining models in Stable Diffusion lets me explore a whole new visual space.

But I don’t want everything to stay stuck inside the computer. I’m planning to hit up an art supply store soon, grab some big paper, canvases, and paint—back to basics.

I think of bringing AI-generated images into the real world, whether by printing them or painting them…

I also plan to make some high-quality prints of my work, frame them, and offer them as limited editions. If you’re interested, let me know!

Connected to that, I’m currently preparing for my show at Dutch Design Week. The Telfar Remix project, which I collaborated on with Art Camp, will be showcased there.

I already showed this video before – but hey…

We’ve framed our nine favorite hand-painted illustrations, and they’re heading to Eindhoven tomorrow. They’ll be displayed alongside the animated video which we created.

More to come!

Much love,
Marius
