From Projects to Installations: A Weekly Recap

Dear friends,

I took the luxury to use this week on wrapping up unfinished projects and to look a bit more into email newsletters.

Laser is Life

I am part of a collective called Laser Is Life. We are a bunch of creative AI and laser nerds and plan to set up a big installation.

Through tunnel.visions we were asked by the planetarium in Munich to play a visual show. It would be amazing to play on a 3D dome. In the best case we would not only play the show in one planetarium but in many in Germany.

Another plan is to set up a 3D sound and visual installation in Magdeburg together with the Love Foundation. Magdeburg has many industrial spaces which can be used for art installations. It would be amazing to set up an installation on the Sternenbrücke.

MMSAI

Together with two other friends we want to set up a small exhibition about AI art here in Berlin. Nothing too complicated. It would be great to print on carpets, silk, clother or oversized glass-frames.

Parallel Carnaval

We are starting a project called Parallel Carnaval. Bridging the gap between the carnaval culture from South Germany and Brazil. Also here combining the tradition with the new. The analog with AI. More will follow soon.

THE PEOPLE°

As some of you might know, our production studio THE PEOPLE° did not do so many productions recently. We are currently restarting the community. We are building a website to represent our members, setting up a small social media strategy and coming up with a Podcast concept. (I finally ordered my microphone)

Spacebirth 2

We want to say thank you to all the people who supported us with this journey. We did not follow up too much after releasing the movie on Vimeo with a secret link. Life went different ways. Now we want to close this chapter with good energies. We are still looking for a distributer, so the movie can be officially released. Goal for 2023 is to release the movie officially, so that everybody who supported us feels properly valued.

New movie in Bangkok

In January I will travel to Bangkok to develop the script for the next movie. This one will be a horror movie. I got a residency by Cinema Oasis to do some research on Thai ghosts.

100k Studio

Our new website will launch soon. So all social media needs to be prepared. We need to develop a marketing strategy for the coming months. Write old clients, ask them for testimonials and ask them to recommend us further. Exciting times!

Tutorials

When me new microphone will arrive, I will do more tutorials on the following topics: Touchdesigner, AI Stable Diffusion, Website Development. My Youtube subscribers are raising and I get comments on my videos. It feels good that some people appreciate my efforts 😀

Client work

Besides all that I am still working on client projects. I am grateful for all the people who work with me. Currently the focus is on Web3 based design and development projects.

Marketing myself

Yes, and last but not least… Merketing myself. Still learning more and more about this newsletter game. Not sure if I do things right. Not sure if a weekly newsletter will annoy people in the inbox. So I am reading a lot of articles on Medium and Substack. I have a lot of contacts but I am not sure if I shall send a newsletter to everybody just like that. Better not… I personally unsubscribed from all newsletters. And now I will be the one to send them… best is if I consult some professinals about this.
