No AI, Just Movies
Sometimes you need Herzog more than HuggingFace

Dear friends,
it feels that last week went by like a wind and I ended up doing nothing really creative or AI related.
In reality I was doing lots of small things. Answering emails here, finishing a website there, doing my finances, sitting in calls and traveling back to Berlin.
But hey, we watched some great movies!
Nosferatu - Phantom der Nacht (1979, by Werner Herzog)

Even though I read the original Dracula and watched the Nosferatu from 1922 – I have never sees Werner Herzogs version of this classic. And I have to say, thats the best one!
I love Klaus Kinskis performance as Count Dracula, the compositions of the shots and the dialogues. What a great film!
A Room with a View (1985, by James Ivory)

The complete opposite. A real romantic love story. But far away from the stereotypes.
From the very beginning I fell in love with all the characters, the choice of camera and the subtleness how everything evolves.
Though it shares the visual elegance of Barry Lyndon, it feels more intimate—less stylized and more sincere.
The Meaning of Life (1983, by Terry Jones / Monty Python)

Last time I have seen this movie was probably 15 years ago. Still a banger. Still incredible funny and smart.
There are not that many funny movies which you can watch multiple times, but this one is one of them. All movies by Monty Python are actually.

So, no AI news today. Just some movies.
Much love,
Marius
