I am still in Japan.
And the Ghostbirth 2 production in Bangkok is happening soon!
But I finally found some time for things I have wanted to do for a long time.
For example to finish the video of a Carnaval parade from Rio 👇:
At the beginning of this year I was in Brazil.
There I visited one of my dearest friends, Isadora Cirne.
I don’t know anyone who knows more about Brazilian music than her and I am thankful for every amazing Brazilian song she shows me.
The big Carnaval parades that everyone knows happen in Rio de Janeiro at the Sambódromo.
But before that, the samba schools also parade through their own neighbourhoods. Every samba school more or less belongs to one neighbourhood in Rio.
Isa took me to the parade of Vila Isabel and Beija Flor in Nilopolis.
A big beautiful chaos.
Finally, half a year later, I found the time to put the video together.
It’s not perfect. But better done than perfect.
