Routines, NFTs and Google Drive
Dear friends,
Since this week I try to keep my healthy routines:
- Drink a lot of water
- Do a 20 minute Yoga session in the morning
- Avoid mindless scrolling on social media
- Stretch from time to time
When travelling, it is always difficult to keep those routines. So having a fresh start in a new apartment seems like a good time to do this.
Then I worked on a project for Pixelynx which will be released hopefully soon. Pixelynx is an Interactive Music Ecosystem and was founded by Richie Hawtin and Joel Zimmerman aka deadmau5, along with music and gaming industry heavyweights Ben Turner, Dean Wilson and metaverse visionary, Inder Phull.
I am grateful to collaborate with such great minds.
This makes me think of my NFT journey. Once I manage to gather a community of people who are interested in what I do, I plan to release a NFT collection myself.
Right now I don’t have much knowledge about NFTs and the crypto world. So I started listening to this podcast and boy, there is so much to learn. It is not enough to just release some NFTs on a marketplace and tell your friends about it. You need a whole strategy, branding and most important a community.
Speaking of community…
Today we received a beautiful image shot with a drone from our project in Portugal. Together with good friends, we bought almost a complete, abandoned village. Over the coming years we will rebuild houses, start using the land and gathering more and more beautiful people around us.
I got a small cute tiny-house which I want to transform to an artist studio.
Ok, tell me if I am getting boring here…
So today I also had some trouble with Google Drive. I got one of the new M2 Macbooks and it was not able to synch the files. After some uninstalls, logout and logins, it started working again. Don’t ask me how I managed to do it.
But I want to share that Google Drive is one of the most amazing tools. I almost forget that I use it, because it is so integrated into my workflow.
I have all my data saved in the cloud and can access it from everywhere. My computer constantly synchronises the files with Google Drive and deletes unused files from my computer. Like this I could throw my Macbook out of the window and would not loose any data.
Since I use this tool, I don’t have any stress when moving to a new setup. I just connect and have all my data at hand.
I did not figure out a good way of how to handle big video data. Obviously it does not make sense to synchronise 1TB movie files. I want to ask Vincent Britz about his. He always know this kind of stuff… And there is so much to talk about…
Finally I worked on the redesign of our 100k Studio website.
Maybe I will continue looking more into StableDiffusion. I could do a test tutorial today…
Thanks for reading.
Much love,
Marius
