The Art of AI & the Art of Doing Nothing

Dear friends,

The past few weeks have been hectic, but now that several projects are wrapped up, I’ve escaped to New Zealand!

I'll be here for the next three weeks, visiting Lord of the Rings locations, playing guitar, working on some relaxed projects—and mostly just doing nothing.

Quantum Noise at Kraftwerk

Tonight was the opening of an exhibition at Kraftwerk in Berlin, where I contributed AI-generated videos infused with quantum noise.

I wrote about this in my last article, but it was amazing to see the final results come to life in the space. Even though I was not there. 🫣

Infinite Zoom Video with OTM & Art Camp

I also had the pleasure of collaborating again with OTM and Art Camp on a video for Story—a platform that helps turn creative ideas and intellectual property into digital assets on the blockchain.

For this project, we created an infinite zoom video with a team of talented illustrators, animators, and sound designers.

While I handled AI controls—generating thousands of images with MidJourney—we also put in a significant amount of manual artistic effort.

AI, to me, is a creative tool that requires guidance and artistic care.

It’s this blend of automation and craftsmanship that makes a project feel truly crafted rather than just machine-generated.

Also, I saw some sea lions yesterday. 🦭
